Looking for peace and quiet this Christmas? Well our Christmas gig on 1st December is definitely not for you!
Come and enjoy some bangin’ tunes on the steps of St Lukes Church (I know, right?) on Norwood High Street, around 3-4pm. We’re the headline act for West Norwood Feast, and we’ll be massacring at least one Christmas song as well as our usual set, plus if you’re lucky Steve will be wearing antlers.
There will also be the Feast Christmas food market, craft market and lots of other Feast-y stuff to enjoy.
St Lukes is literally 2 minute’s walk from West Norwood station (Trains from Victoria and London Bridge). Children are welcome, particularly noisy ones.
Great gig on Saturday 11th November at the Portico Gallery. But don’t take my word for it, here’s what the press had to say:
‘The 49ers are the best fun you can have with your clothes on!” – The West Norwood Echo
“They smashed it!” – Peter Coulson, audience member, in no way biased.
“Patrick on sax took Echo Beach to another level.” – Patrick’s mum.
“They were awesome!” – A Young Person.
“Totes amazeballs.” – A blogger.
We’ll almost certainly be playing another awesome public gig within the next, erm, year.
If you want to be on our mailing list, or you’d like us to play at your wedding, birthday party or other Signficant Celebration, please get in touch.
STOP PRESS: our gig this Saturday (10th November) is now FREE before 9pm, a fiver on the door.
In case you haven’t had enough of us yet, here’s another great opportunity to see the 49ers live
at your local (or not so local for some) venue, the Portico Gallery
(right by West Norwood station) on Saturday 10th November
It’s going to be an eclectic evening, starting at 8 with youthful ambient jazz, followed by our noisy, take no prisoners punk and new wave set at 9.15. The amazing Zero will be on the decks – I challenge you not to get up and dance!
Free on the door (before 9pm) and a fiver will get you dinner (chicken or veggie), plus there’s a cheap bar & it’s all for charity.
Kids allowed, so all in all a good, affordable Saturday night out – what’s not to like?
